Fractions can be fun! The learners should already understand what a fraction is, but we will review it. We will start by reviewing the vocabulary that is associated with fractions. (Numerator, denominator) We will draw models of fractions and learn patterns that help determine if a fraction is less than, greater than, or equal to each other. The learners will learn to compare fractions. They will correctly place the less than (<), greater than (>), and equal to (=) signs to compare fractions. They will be able to apply this knowledge to assignments dealing with fractions.

The students should have a whiteboard and markers or paper and markers to practice. I have also attached a visual to use during class.
