In these four classes, young violinists will learn a Christmas favorite each week.
Class experience
We will learn one Christmas song each week so that your young violinist can add to the holiday festivities in your family! These classes are a good fit for students who already have some experience on the violin (approx Book 1 level of Suzuki or the equivalent). Week 1 We Wish you a Merry Christmas Week 2 Jingle Bells Week 3 Deck the Halls Week 4 O Christmas Tree Each class will include a warm up using scales, bowing work and finger exercises to prepare for that day's song. The primary goal is for the students to have songs that they know well and can share with their families and communities. In this class, the students will also improve their ability to learn by ear and grow their facility on the fingerboard and their sound.
I've been teaching for decades, and each year parents ask me to make sure that their children know some holiday songs! My speciality is taking challenges and breaking them down into bite-size pieces so that students always feel like they can take the next step.
Homework Offered
The students should set aside an extra 10 minutes on top of their usual practice schedule to review the songs they learn each week.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
