In this fast pace and high-energy class, students will practice interacting with each other while using common greetings and phrases in Japanese. Common greetings include: “My name is _____, nice to meet you, good morning, good afternoon, good evening and goodbye”. We will also learn phrases like, “See you later!” and “How are you?” Students will practice pronunciation for target phrases. Each student will be encouraged to speak in class. I will use props such as: “the sun, moon and clock”...
Learning goals are to help students become comfortable and confident using Japanese greetings.
I have been taking weekly Japanese language classes for the past four years. I am not an expert or fluent Japanese speaker. However, I was encouraged by my teacher (Yoshino Sensi) to teach Japanese. All of my classes are basic Japanese skills for beginners. I enjoy the language and learning about Japanese culture. My three children have also been taking Japanese classes for the past four years. We often play memory games and practice speaking with each other in Japanese.
