In this one time course students will review the names of shapes by playing games and will also practice drawing shapes. Students will also be able to use shapes to make a fun and creative picture!

It's Shape-Tastic! In this course students will be introduced to the names of basic shapes. They will be able to practice identifying shapes by playing games and will have time to practice drawing their own shapes. Students will also be able to use pre-cut shapes to make a shape-tastic creative piece of art! They can use their imaginations to turn their shapes into houses, animals, food, or whatever they can think of! Students will be able to share their creative shape artwork with the class! This course is perfect for students who are just starting to learn shapes or for students who need some extra review of shapes. Students will discuss how many sides different shapes have and will be able to go on a fun shape hunt!
Learning Goals
Students will increase their understanding of basic shapes (circle, square, rectangle, triangle, diamond, oval, heart, star).

Supply List
Printable shapes will be provided before class. They will need to be pre-cut by an adult in order for the student to make their shape artwork. A piece of paper and glue or a glue stick will also need to be provided for the student.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
