There are many great reasons to practice intuitive art. The process of intuitive art allows students to be open to their impulses and accepting of themselves. It promotes self-awareness and curiosity. Each class will start with an ice-breaker or check-in to see how everyone is doing and encourage students to get to know each other. Various art techniques will be taught in each class and we will explore these together. Part of intuitive art is that sometimes we will love what we've created and other times we won't. This is an important element of the process as it's teaching us to let go of all that we can't control, sometimes that includes the outcomes. Through being able to do this, we are more able to accept ourselves. This class is very much learner-lead in its structure to encourage students curiosity and exploration.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to follow their creative intuition as well as art techniques using colour, shape, line and image.
