Introduction to Reading! Let's Start With the Vowels.

Hi, my name is Gweneth and, I am so excited to teach young learners. I will teach many academic areas but a majority of my lessons will revolve around reading and reading readiness. I will also teach beginning  math skills, science lessons and social studies. I will bring my love of children's literature to circle times for the very young learners too. I am a licensed teacher for grades pre K to grade 3. I have extensive experience working and teaching young children in both private and public school systems. I have taught as a lead teacher in preschool classrooms and was a kindergarten and second grade teacher in the public schools. I believe that learning needs to be fun and engaging for the students. If they are involved and interested in what they are learning it comes much quicker and easier for them. My philosophy behind my teaching is building a solid foundation that promotes a life long love of learning. In my personal life I enjoy spending and enjoying time with my husband, my son, and my sweet puppy. We love to travel. My dream is to see every state in the United States and I have about 15 more to go! We plan on taking our camper out west to see some of the states we have not been to yet. We plan on doing a lot of hiking and sight seeing.
