Intro to Guitar - Small Group Class for Beginners With a USC Faculty Instructor

This is a class for beginners with no experience needed. If you think your child will like guitar lessons but want to test run a lesson before a long commitment, this is for you. I have been teaching at a prestigious University fifteen years and I have learned that beginners excel in a group setting. I bring all my experience to this course to teach the fundamentals of the guitar. 

Topics include

Learn the parts of the guitar and the proper way to hold it.
Learn the names of the strings
Learn basic chords
Learn how to count and read rhythms
Learn how to read tablature

The class is structured in a small group format. The lesson material is presented by the instructor and each student will have the opportunity to demonstrate the concepts. 

My teaching is based on a masterclass format and I use positive reinforcement to engage and motivate the student. 

All learners have the opportunity to interact with the teacher and ask questions. Everyone learns at a different pace but the group dynamics move the entire class at a steady pace which is optional for learning.
