Description

Class Experience

The teacher will show and teach the parts of the bass guitar. The teacher will go over how to hold and play the instrument with good technique. Students will learn how to safely connect their instrument to an amplifier. The instructor will introduce string names, and each student will have a chance to identify them on their instrument. Students will learn a basic rhythm and a picking pattern that they can use to play. After this class, students will be ready for a beginner's bass guitar...

I have played bass guitar since I was in 7th grade! I have played for worship bands, concerts, jazz bands, and private gigs.

Students can attend the class without an instrument, but students will likely get more out of the class if they have a bass guitar to practice with.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
