Description

Class Experience

Students will learn:
+A working definition of acting.

+how an actor uses his mind, body and emotions to tell authentic stories.

+ the process behind most professional performances.

+to appreciate what makes you unique.
Many people (not all) approach acting from a narrow lens of fame and fortune.

They get involved in local plays, the business of entertainment or begin the pursuit of fame without a working knowledge of acting as an art form or craft that must be developed.

I want to help students gain that knowledge by setting the right expectations early.
Acting is a beautiful, accessible art form that celebrates humanity. Imagine the student-artists’ influence who approach the craft with this widened perspective. The possibilities are endless.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
