Creating community and learning is the goal of my teaching.

I work for a big corporation as an Interior Designer and I owned a teaching art studio in Wisconsin. I operate virtually and also do in-person teaching from preschool through adults in arts and crafts. I have a background in calligraphy, art, and teaching.

I am focused on the creative inspiration and happiness of learning. I want to guide participants to make their own inspired project based on the main project but with the option to interpret and create participants' own vision of what they think it should be.

I love to teach kids how to transform the project into their own unique piece of art based on a technique, art history or imaginative inspiration. I love to teach about art, history and culture in a relatable way and I incorporate a project, art or another activity into every lesson I teach.

I am a mom to two boys - one in high school and one in elementary school. I was a preschool teacher in Germany for a short time and previously worked as the director of education for youth and children in a variety of religious settings. I also have a yorkiepoo dog named Mister, another yorkie named Mrs. and three lady guinea pigs named Chewy, Blueberry and Kay!

Assessment
Frequency: available upon request
Details: Homework is due by Friday - in order for me to review and make sure you understand the concepts so that you can progress to the next lesson. I will review your project or homework and give you use-able feedback as if it were going to be a professional design for a client. I will not critique your art, design or work - my focus is on the structural, mechanical, codes, etc.
My pacing is based on the engagement and interaction in the class. If there are students that want a slower or faster pace, please let me know. My son is dyslexic and prefers not to read - I understand! Just let me know before!

A list of locations we will visit are listed in the class description, all of their collections are available online for you to preview before choosing this class.

For more research I will be suggesting general google searches - supervise your child as needed.
