Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
For the last 20 years, I have taught civics, citizenship, and community engagement at the college level and mentored a large number of high school students through various programs for low-income students. For almost 10 years, I worked with international students studying in the United States for the first time, which allowed me to create inclusive curriculum to challenge both domestic and international studies to find common ground in the classroom. In addition, I hold a Juris Doctorate in Law with an emphasis in Constitutional Law and a Master's in Public Affairs both of which allowed me to study the workings of government at all levels.
