Description
Class Experience
This class will teach the basics of human proportions and drawing hands including how to use basic shapes to figure out different poses for hands and fingers. Class will start with classmates introducing themselves to one another, before we talk about why knowing how to draw basic shapes like cylinders and boxes is important for learning to draw hands. After this introduction, students will draw along with me as I draw a basic hand, front and back. As I draw, I will explain why I am drawing...
Students will learn how to visualize complex images based on simpler shapes, and strengthen their spatial knowledge by practicing that visualization on paper, as well as gaining the tools to do more original drawings of hands after class.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
