Class Experience
During this class, students will learn how to draw faces. They will learn how to draw portraits of themselves and others and will receive an in depth study of how to draw facial structures, facial expressions and many other lessons. As they go through the fundamentals of drawing faces, each student will be able to notice the unique formation and details of each face which will allow them to capture the likeness of whoever they want to draw. Students will know how to draw faces correctly.
Darrell Andrews Jr. is a graduate of Ringling College of Art & Design, one of the nation’s most prestigious art schools. He is a freelance illustrator who has done an array of creative projects, including children’s books and cartoon development. He is well versed in traditional hand-drawn art, photoshop, figure drawing, traditional painting, concept art and general illustration. He had illustrated children’s books and created cartoon characters. He is a soft-spoken artist-teacher who enjoys working with children. He has designed a line of clothing—Trailblazers, which features his original designs.
Students may practice their drawing skills outside of the class.
Multiple sheets of paper or a sketch pad - Pencil - Eraser
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will receive professional feedback on their work.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
