"How to Draw a Flower VASE, Learn Easy and Simple Sketching and Shading Technique"

This concise lesson plan focuses on symmetry and shading in a flower vase sketch, suitable for various skill levels. I will follow these steps,
🖌️Introduction : Discuss symmetry in art.
🖌️Introduction to Flower Vase : Explain the parts of a vase and its symmetry.
🖌️Pencil Sketching: Guide students to create a symmetrical vase sketch.
🖌️Shading Techniques: Teach shading techniques for depth and dimension.
🖌️Practice Shading: Have students practice shading the vase.
🖌️Review and Feedback: Share and discuss sketches, provide feedback.
🖌️Final Artwork: Refine and add details to sketches.

At the start of our class, I'll go over the classroom rules. Kids should remember to mute their audio to prevent background noise. If you have a question, you can raise your hand emoji or use the chat box. I'll use a second camera to show my drawing on paper.

I believe that learning should be a shared experience, so I draw, and the kids follow along. I encourage active participation, and my rule of thumb is that if more than 50% of the kids have completed their artwork, we move on to the next step. They should use their thumbs up emoji after finished that step. They can ask for guidance and get feedback by showing their work on the screen at every stage. To make it easier for them, I recommend using a sheet of paper rather than a heavy sketchbook. They can submit a picture of their completed drawing for teacher and student comment.

With 14 years of experience working with kids aged 5 to 17, I've honed my teaching methods to engage and inspire young artists, fostering their creativity and appreciation for the natural world. Together, we embark on a journey of artistic exploration inspired by the wonders of nature.

My love for art and craft has been with me since childhood, and after completing my academic and design degrees, I began teaching art to kids. Over time, more kids expressed interest in learning, and it kept me deeply engaged with my passion. This led me to establish my own art school. I expanded my horizons by selling my art worldwide and volunteering as an art docent in elementary schools while teaching as an after-school instructor.
I guide students through step-by-step processes, explore different styles, and experiment with various art media.
I offer art lessons to students aged 5-17, both in groups and through private one-on-one sessions. In these 14 years I teach a wide range of art media, including watercolor, oil pastels, acrylics, oil painting, sculpture painting, color pencil techniques, sketching, and shading.
Let's embark on this creative journey together!
Besides art and craft, I also love cooking, watching movies, going on hikes in nature, and most importantly, spending quality time with my two lovely kids and my husband.
Thank you!
