Class Experience

I will be instructing students on how to create a Powerpoint using a given topic.  This particular class, we will be doing "Me and my Pet" where we will use text, pictures, animations, and more to create a presentation on their love for their pet.  They can keep this as a memory of the wonderful times we're they've had with their beloved furry family member.  I will structure the class by giving a brief introduction and then transitioning to the "screen sharing" feature where the children can follow along to screen while simultaneously creating their own Powerpoint.

Learning Goals

Students will learn how to create a basic Powerpoint using their pictures and descriptions of their favorite pet.

Supply List

Parents will need to ensure Powerpoint is either installed on the computer and working, or the online version is being utilized.  I may not be able to answer all questions about the online version of Powerpoint but it is an alternative.  
I suggest that parents are on standby because there may be times where the student needs to have both the zoom call and their screens open at the same time.  Technical issues will be addressed but my control will be limited.

Florida Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education

Hello everyone! My name is Ms. Haupt and I am a 5th Grade teacher down in South Florida! My favorite subject to teach is math. From fractions and decimals, to long division and order of operations, I specialize in 4th-6th grade math. I got my degree in elementary education from Florida Atlantic University and immediately began teaching 5th grade. It is my belief that difficulty in standards for education have increased over the decades, requiring more time and effort outside the classroom from families, students, and teachers. I am here to ease that process. I would describe myself as laid back, personable, and intuitive to student needs. A fun fact about me is that I taught dance and gymnastics for 10 years and even taught a few classes here on Outschool!
