In this one time class, learners will hear real life examples of people who overcame painful shyness. Learners will tips that can help deal with situational shyness, have an easier time at making friends and participating in social events.
Class experience
**Please note that to make the experience more manageable, this class has a limit of 4 learners. If your learner still feels that a group of 4 would be too large, I can meet with your learner and have a one-on-one class at a time that is convenient for your family.** This class will be very helpful for those who have situational shyness or have not had much practice and guidance in connecting with new people or approaching social situations. Students will learn strategies to feel more comfortable approaching and responding to people in social situations and they will practice initiating conversations and responding to others in a way that is conducive to getting along and setting the first step towards meeting new friends.
Stories of people who struggled with shyness in the past (including myself) will be discussed in class. This could be a trigger for some learners. Also, please note that the students will be prompted to initiate a conversation with at least one of their peers.
