Class Experience

**Unless there is an emergency I do not mind teaching a class with only 1 student in it. So there is no need to worry about me canceling for that reason.

In this class your student will learn about stranger danger and how to escape a kidnapping.

We will discuss:

-Predatory behavior
-What to do if being followed
- Lures (gift lure, assistance lure, social media lure, emergency lure, animal lure)
- Self defense
- Escaping from restraints
- Escaping the trunk of a car
- What to do if taken to the house, building, etc.

This class is very interactive and I encourage class participation. This class is part of my ongoing urban and wilderness survival class and I have taught this class to well over 500 students and have received a lot of positive feedback from parents.

I don't teach it in a scary manner at all and don't talk about any reasons kidnappers kidnap, besides ransom money. Leaving any further discussion as to why kidnappers kidnap up to the parents or guardians.

I will teach by giving scenarios, and role playing, utilizing pictures, and a few videos.

***If you have taken this class in my ongoing Urban and Wilderness Survival Class, this class would not be needed unless you want a refresher, as it is the same material.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
1.) Stranger Danger and kidnapping prevention and escape will be taught (very much tailored to younger audiences) 2.) I talk about self defense how to quickly and effectively fight off a potential kidnapper. 3.) I do not talk to students as to any reasons why kidnappers kidnap children, besides ransom money. I leave that up to the parents. 4.) I will also briefly discuss simple "less than lethal" weapons that most jurisdictions allow a child to carry, like pepper spray, or collapsible baton. *By no means do I ever talk about firearms*

My experience includes 4 years of U.S. Coast Guard experience, where one of my duties included federal law enforcement. I have trained with several different local, state and federal law enforcement agencies on kidnapping prevention, situational awareness, survival psychology, and urban survival. I was also a fire fighter for 10 years where we often partnered with local law enforcement to talk to children about stranger danger. I meet with local law enforcement officials monthly on new developments on kidnappings and statistics.
