includedClass Experience
I can do 3rd through 6th grade, and I am willing to split times by grade levels. The class will be a positive, engaging environment set up with the learner in mind. Furthermore, the class will be rigorous to ensure all sections of the study guide have been taught. The in-depth grading and relevant discussion will ensure the students will be ready for the tests. By allowing students to learn what is expected, they will be able to relax and do their best on the test! Students will be taught with the English Language Arts (this includes Reading and Writing) state released end of the year study guides. By practicing the format and the question types, students will become comfortable and confident by testing time. This will reduce stress and anxiety, because students will feel better prepared going into the test setting. I will model and interact with the students, as well as explain and grade the independent practice. The guidance and feedback will prepare students to be ready for the test. You must start months in advance in order to be familiar with each question type. The topics include DESCRIPTION OF TEST FORMAT AND ORGANIZATION, ITEM TYPES, DEPTH OF KNOWLEDGE EXAMPLE ITEMS, CONTENT DESCRIPTION AND ADDITIONAL SAMPLE ITEMS, ADDITIONAL SAMPLE ITEM KEYS, EXAMPLE SCORING RUBRICS, EXEMPLAR RESPONSES, AND WRITING RUBRICS.
