In this engaging and interactive small-group tutoring class, students will dive into the essential skills of addition, subtraction, time, and money through hands-on activities and creative manipulatives. Using tools like pop its, an abacus, and other tangible aids, students will develop a deeper understanding of these key math concepts. These manipulatives make learning fun and help students visualize and solidify fundamental concepts in a way that supports long-term retention. Throughout the course, we will explore a variety of important topics, including: Addition and Subtraction Reading and using an analog clock to tell time Counting, adding, and subtracting money in real-life scenarios Learning to count by 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s, 10s, 11s, and 12s The class is designed to be fully adaptable to the unique learning needs of each student. Rather than following a fixed weekly schedule, the lessons will be tailored to meet students where they are, providing personalized instruction to ensure progress in their understanding and confidence. Whether your student needs a little extra support or is ready to push ahead with more advanced concepts, this flexible approach ensures that every learner gets the most out of their time in class.
