US Grade 1 - 3
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this engaging and dynamic class, second-grade students will explore advanced concepts in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and time-telling using a variety of hands-on activities and manipulatives. By incorporating tools such as bubble pop fidgets, abacuses, clocks, and other tactile learning aids, we ensure a stimulating and interactive learning environment that enhances understanding and retention. Each week, we thoughtfully select a diverse array of manipulatives to teach these fundamental concepts. This careful selection varies weekly to align with specific learning goals, providing a fresh and focused approach to each lesson. It's important to note that not all listed manipulatives will be used every week, allowing us to tailor the learning experience to the most effective tools for the topic at hand. To further reinforce these concepts, we will also incorporate virtual games on Blooket for weekly math fact practice. Parental consent is required for this component; please refer to the parental guidance section for more information.
