**As animals can be unpredictable, it is recommended parents be nearby to assist with the handling of guinea pig in class in the event the guinea pig gets frightened.**

**The use of scissors is needed for week four. It is recommended a parent be present for safety.*

**Please note: I am not a licensed veterinarian. I cannot advise on specific health concerns, I can only inform on what to look for and how to prevent illnesses. If your guinea pig is sick, please take her/him to the veterinarian.

Parents please note the words of "poop" and "pee" will be used in this class as it is an important part of identifying the overall health of the guinea pig such as identifying illnesses. There will be images shown and descriptions on how to properly sex the guinea pig (finding out if it's a girl or boy). The teacher will always be sensitive and avoid being overly detailed in descriptions.
