In this Multi-Day class, students will meet one time each week over the course of 4 weeks. By the end of the 4 weeks, students will have an understanding of basic Genetics. Topics covered include the difference between genes, chromosomes, and DNA, heredity and family history, and the path from genetic information stored in DNA to creating proteins. I am a recent graduate in Biomedical Science and plan to pursue graduate studies in Genetic Counseling. While I have recently completed college-level genetics classes, I restrict my content to basic genetics only. However, my background allows me to answer the difficult or complex questions that often arise.
