Fans of the furry potato, unite! We are here to chat about our favorite little fur potatoes, guinea pigs! In each class, learners will have time to share their actual pets, or pictures of their pets, or tell which kind of guinea pig they would like for a pet! Then, we will discuss the Care Tip of the Day, which will vary from week to week. I will plan these topics in advance based on this schedule, but this can change based on learner questions and requests. Week 1 (week of 6/9): Appropriate diet and favorite foods Week 2 (week of 6/16): It’s all about that cage Week 3 (week of 6/23): All about a healthy piggie Week 4 (week of 6/30): Nail clipping tips and tricks Week 5 (week of 7/7): The basics of breeds Week 6 (week of 7/14): What’s wrong? Common diseases and conditions of guinea pigs Week 7 (week of 7/21): How to give a piggie a bath Week 8 (week of 7/28): Encouraging your piggies to exercise
Learning Goals
Learners will get to talk and share about their guinea pig pets, learn more about appropriate care, and have a chance to ask questions of an experienced guinea pig parent!

Parental Guidance
If the student will be interacting with their own guinea pig, I request a parent be present for the animal’s safety.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
