I have a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from the University Missouri-Saint Louis. I'm certified to teach all subject areas for grades 1-6. I am also dual certified to teach both health and physical education in Missouri for grades K-12. I am a licensed group fitness instructor and a life-long fitness enthusiast! While I do not have formal dance training, I have spent many hours teaching dance-inspired and traditional fitness classes to kids, teenagers, and young adults.
Parents, to ensure that your child is able to participate safely in each class, please help them with the following preparations: 1. Space Prep: This class does not require a lot of space. Simply make sure your child has approximately one "yoga-mat-length" of space clear of furniture and other trip hazards, as well as enough room to fully extend arms and legs to the front and to the back when facing the camera. 2. Equipment Prep: Water bottle, yoga mat, pair of 1 pound hand weights OR 2 15-ounce cans of soup or other canned goods. 3. Mind/Body Prep: A warm up and cool-down stretch is included at the beginning and end of each class. If your child must leave class early, please remind them to take at least 2-minutes to stretch. (They may use the pre-recorded cool-down stretch posted on the first day of class.).
