This class is meant to boost daily energy levels and encourage more positive self talk. In this small piece of your week we will share and discuss quotes that help you think and grow, we'll read positive affirmations to build you up and help you continue to do your best, feeding ourselves positive "Brain Food", and we'll talk about and do small, simple practices of mindfulness that calm, energize, and build self esteem and inspire you to be all you can be, authentic, and true to you. Students are encouraged to add the weekly quotes and affirmations to a personal notebook and post their affirmations to see daily or read them daily to lift their spirits and encourage positive, personal change. These statements along with the positive quotes we study in class can help raise our energy level and build self-esteem. Learning to share encouraging statements with others also raises our energy level. We also learn and practice small, simple ways to be mindful.
I am a master NLP Practitioner and EFT Practitioner with my own private practice and have worked in private, public and special needs schools as an aid and teacher also owning my own preschool for 20+ years. It has been my privilege over the last two decades to work with students from ages birth-18 years in all walks and conditions of life, guiding them through hard feelings that don't serve them or allow them to feel joy and peace! I love the work I do! Helping those I work with see they have all the tools to be in control of their own lives is to me the ultimate joy!
Students are encouraged to write new positive quotes in their journal or notebook and post their quote and/or affirmations from class to ponder through their week. They are also welcome to send me an inspiring quote before the next class that I can share with other students. I will try to read all the quotes brought by students to class. When we learn a new mindful technique and "do" it, they are encouraged to try it on their own and see if it feels good for them.
Please come to class with a journal, notebook or lined paper strictly meant for positive words to be written in/on. Write the affirmations sent to you each week in this notebook before class begins. Don't forget a sharp pencil or a pen to write any ideas or notes from class. This notebook can serve you for years to build confidence, self esteem and self worth as you go back through its pages often.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
