Get a Clue Live Mystery Game Cosplay Your Favorite Detective

Average rating:4.9Number of reviews:(34)
Learners will work together to solve a mystery in this Clue inspired game using logic, scavenger hunts, and team work. Learners are encouraged to dress up and cosplay their favorite detective or mystery author.

Class experience

Students will learn deductive reasoning, problem solving, and teamwork. The clues include, but are not limited to, history, botany, Egyptology, and gemology.
I have an M.Ed in K-12 curriculum and special needs. I have a B.A. in Comparative Literature. I worked as a CRC (Community Relations Coordinator) and served as Children's Director. Some of the themes from the book events I have hosted include: Alice in Wonderland, Goosebumps, Clue, and Great Gatsby. I am currently working on a book club for young detectives, and a Clue inspired costuming and sewing class.
Cosplay your favorite Clue inspired character or a detective from your favorite novel (i.e. Sherlock Holmes, Enola Holmes, Mycroft Holmes, Nancy Drew, or even one of the Scooby Doo crew!) This is optional. A pencil and paper are recommended for the occasional cryptograms, but they are not required. A working knowledge of the Clue game is helpful, but not required.
This game will not include violence, death, or graphic images. Unlike the original Clue game and movie, a murder will not occur, only a disappearance. The host, who disappears at the beginning of the game, will reappear at the end of the game when the students have collectively solved the mystery. He is unharmed, and there is a reasonable explanation behind his disappearance. The "With what" section of this game will not involve weapons. Instead, the clues in this section will include: popcorn kernels, a glass of water, a book, an apple corer, a gem, and a plant, rather than the weapons of the traditional Clue game. Occasionally, for suspense, a historical clue item will emerge, but we most certainly won’t “Dial M for Murder.” The “M” in this game is all about mischief.
Will refer to and share our favorite detective novels, movies and games.
