In this one-time class, students will practice their letters, letter sounds, and memory skills as they work through an interactive session of "Who Took the Cookie From the Cookie Jar?".

In this one-time class, students will practice the alphabet and letter-sound associations via an interactive game of "Who Took the Cookie From the Cookie Jar?". Class will begin with a quick welcome song to greet each learner by name before moving into a review of the alphabet song and the sounds made by each letter. We will then move into a game of "Who Took the Cookie?", with plenty of opportunities for turn-taking, early literacy skill practice, and strengthening our short-term memories. We will have a quick check-in to provide each learner with a chance to share their thoughts about the session before closing with a goodbye song.
I value an emergent teaching style, in which I respond to student interests and preferences as much as possible during the course of each session. As such, the order and content of each activity may be modified to ensure that each young learner is as developmentally supported and intrinsically motivated as possible.Learning Goals
-Students will practice turn-taking in the context of a memory game.
-Students will strengthen their short-term memories.
-Students will practice basic alphabet knowledge, including letter names and sounds.
