Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
Hallo und Guten Tag!

Komm mit! Come and join me on this immersive German Beginners Kindergarten Course about people, nature, and animals!

In this German Immersion class for beginners, we will learn simple sentences and fun activities around the topics "people" (professions, family), nature (forest, water, jungle), and animals (pets, zoo animals, forest animals) in German.
I will mostly speak German in the videos, but I will speak English for giving instructions and feedback.

This German for Beginners Kindergarten is a FLEX class, so there won’t be any LIVE meetings with the teacher. Nevertheless, learners will engage in the Outschool classroom with the teacher and the other learners. I will also be available to answer your questions and give feedback throughout the 8 weeks of this flex class.

In each lesson, we will cover the four skills
- listening,
- speaking,
- reading,
- writing.

We will
- listen to short audio texts,
- build up new vocabulary,
- prepare short everyday conversations in German,
- practice pronunciation and vocabulary,
- explore authentic situations and activities and train natural, spontaneous interaction.

My video tutorial and all related materials for that week will be posted each week for you. Learners will be encouraged to share their completed mini-project of each week by uploading a video, a picture, or a PDF to our Outschool classroom. They also participate in polls and games. That way, other learners from your group will be able to interact with you, for example when you send them on a scavenger hunt.

In this 8-lesson FLEX class, the children will learn basic German expressions through play, song, and nursery rhymes.
