Geometry In Depth Course with a Licensed Math Teacher

This class is designed to cover all important topics in Geometry and to deepen knowledge and understanding in the subject. I introduce the topic with notes, example questions, and involve students a lot to make sure they are following along. Students are guided through the problems and they are encouraged to ask questions. Each week is focused on a certain topic from Geometry and students can also bring their questions from that topic to discuss in the class. I use a digital whiteboard to share worksheets and show steps on the same whiteboard.

I suggest that students are familiar with Algebra 1 content before taking this course. The content covered will be as follows:

Chapter 1 Basics of Geometry 
Chapter 2 Reasoning and Proofs
Chapter 3 Parallel and Perpendicular Lines
Chapter 4 Transformations
Chapter 5 Congruent Triangles 
Chapter 6 Relationships with Triangles
Chapter 7 Quadrilaterals and Other Polygons 
Chapter 8 Similarity
Chapter 9 Right Triangles and Trigonometry 
Chapter 10 Circles
Chapter 11 Circumference, Area & Volume

Week of 8/21 - (1.1 Points, Lines and Planes) (1.3 Using midpoint and distance formula)
Week of 8/28 - (1.4 Perimeter and Area in the coordinate Planes) (1.6 Describing pairs of Angles)
Week of 9/4 - (3.1 pairs of lines and angles) & (3.2 Parallel Linea and Transversals)
Week of 9/11 - (3.5 Equations of Parallel and Perpendicular Lines)
