Foundations of Geometry is a class designed to support students interested in learning more about Geometry topics taught at the high school level. As a professional Geometry teacher, I will guide the class through the foundations of Geometry instruction with the purpose of long-term mastery. Students will be asked to complete problems during the lesson to show understanding. I will be teaching using Smart Notebook, a TI-84 calculator, Desmos.com, DeltaMath.com, Quizizz.com, Quizlet.com, and...
Students will improve their knowledge of Geometry and utilize their skills to think critically as problem solvers.
I will give students the opportunity between class times to practice in Delta Math when applicable. In addition, I will make myself available for assistance by email at any time during the course.
Progress will be measured through formal and informal formative and summative assessments.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Students will not be exposed to mature content.
Students will be using common math websites used in the classroom, such as: http://www.deltamath.com http://www.desmos.com
