Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Welcome to my class on the fascinating topic of force! In this introductory course, we will explore the fundamental principles of force and how it shapes the world around us. This class aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the concept of force, making it accessible and engaging for young learners.

What will be taught?
In this class, we will delve into the following topics:

What is force?
Types of forces (push, pull, friction, gravity)
How forces affect motion
Simple machines and their role in applying force

What topics will you cover?
Throughout the course, you will cover the basics of force, its various forms, and its influence on objects' movement. We will also explore real-world examples and applications to make the concepts come to life.

How is your class structured?
The class will be divided into modules, each focusing on a specific aspect of force. I'll start with the fundamentals and gradually build on that knowledge to ensure a strong foundation.

How will you teach?
The teaching approach will be interactive and engaging. I will use a combination of lectures, hands-on activities, games, slides, video clips, and group discussions to cater to different learning styles and keep the class dynamic and fun.

What's your teaching style?
My teaching style is student-centred, meaning I encourage active participation and critical thinking. We believe that students learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process, so I will strive to create an environment where questions are encouraged, and curiosity is celebrated.

How much will learners get to interact with you and each other?
Learners will have ample opportunities to interact with the instructor and their peers. I will have interactive lectures, group activities, discussions, and games encouraging collaboration and teamwork. Students will also be encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas during class, creating a supportive and inclusive learning community.

Any required experience or knowledge learners need?
No prior experience or specific knowledge is required for this class. It is designed for Grade 4 students curious and eager to learn about the world of forces. All that's needed is an open mind and a willingness to explore the exciting world of physics!

Learning Goals

Students will be able to understand force and it’s different types.
