All about Owls
In our first class, we will delve into the fascinating world of owls. Through engaging visuals and interactive discussions, students will learn about owl species, habitats, and their role in the ecosystem.

Lesson 2:
What are owl pellets? Why are they important to scientific study?
The second week is about exploring the anatomy of an owl pellet. Through virtual demonstrations, students will discover how owls regurgitate pellets and why they are important for scientific study.

Lesson 3:
Owl Pellet Dissection
Our third class will be when our teachers will guide the learners through the process of dissecting the owl pellets. We will begin to identify the different prey species.

Lesson 4:
Classify and Record Scientific Findings
The final class will be all about our scientific findings. Students will learn how to classify and record their findings. We will encourage critical thinking and scientific observation as they analyze the bones and fur they've uncovered.

Parental Guidance
Learners will be dissecting an owl pellet during week 3 of class.
Supply List
Each learner will need to purchase an Home Science Tools Jumbo Owl Pellet Study Kit. Learners will also need paper, a pencil, and coloring supplies each week. Supplies will be listed at least a week before the class they are needed for.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
