Class Experience

Athlete will gain flexibility and strength to continue to progress to their dancer or gymnastic goals.
Coach Heather has been coaching for 15 years in gymnastics and dance. She owns her own Gymnastics business in Hemet California. Certified through USA Gymnastics and Acrobatic Arts. Coach Heather loves to see the gymnast improve with unique progressions she has learned from many different coaches and instructors throughout her years of coaching.

Watching athletes achieve certain skills and be excited about accomplishing a body movement is amazing to watch!
Worksheets and videos to help athlete understand the stretch and strength moves.
Supply List: *Chair--can have soft or hard seat (please get the one in the link)-- *Exercise ball (the bands come with the ball in this link) -- *Work out band-- *Open wall space *One inch thick yoga--mat cut one section off about 1 &1/2 foot long-- *Cord on robe or rhythmic gymnastics jump rope (not a regular jump rope) *Gymnastics mat or yoga mat *Folded panel mat or stacked couch cushions *Couch
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Risk of injury if athlete is not doing skills correctly. Parent guidance and assistance maybe needed. Please make sure proper safety precautions are taken. For example, make sure athlete is not doing skills next to furniture and has proper matting required for class. Have water bottle near by and all items on supply list.
This is a risky class because the student does not have a coach at home to work with them on proper form and technique and the potential for injury exists.
We will refer to videos on the website listed:
