US Grade 3 - 5
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Welcome!!! This is the first of the IEW grammar books. In this self paced course, learners will seek out grammatical errors with the teacher. Corrections will be made and we will improve in our skills! Homework will include swapping words, identifying errors, and more. We will study "4 days" of the book each week (or 4 sentences). I will also provide drill sheets to help deeply-solidify the concepts. TEACHER ENGAGEMENT: Each week offers a greeting message + video, I will list drill sheets, optional print outs, vocab words for the week, as well as book pages to complete. I also welcome learners to reach out for extra help if/when needed in understanding new topics. Finally, I will evaluate and return completed work to ensure corrections/mastery. _______ ABOUT THIS LEVEL: This is a Level 1 course in grammar knowledge (see below for other levels offered). Together, we will learn basic parts of speech, end-mark punctuation, phrases, clauses, homophones, and more. No prior grammar knowledge is required. We will complete half of the book in this class (15 weeks, meeting 1x a week), and the next half of it in another class (15 weeks, meeting 1x a week). WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Please be sure to acquire the book before class begins, here is a link: https://iew.com/shop/products/fix-it-grammar-nose-tree-student-book-1. ---- Refunds available up until the start of the course.
