Homework
1 hour per week. Students are encouraged to work on their drawings at least one hour per week.

Class Experience

Welcome to the Flex Course -Unlocking Creativity: Let's Learn the Basics of Drawing Face Portraits.
Students will be introduced to the secrets to drawing human faces and face proportions quickly and easily. 
This course is for beginners and no prior drawing experience is required.
In this class we embrace creativity, kindness and diversity. We expect respect and maturity in our fun and process based class environment.  

Under the right conditions, all children can become more creative thinkers, expressive artist and problem solvers. 
Drawing is one of the ways to unlock their creativity!

On this Flex Course students will learn how to draw faces and facial features step by step by following pre-recorded sessions.
The pre-recorded sessions include lectures and drawing demonstrations that teacher will post each week.
Teacher will share with students the masterpiece paintings of artists such as Rembrandt, Picasso, Frida Kahlo and others.

Students will work on their own pace and each week they will submit their homework to teacher for the individual feedback. 
They are also encouraged to post their work on the classroom page and share with other students if they are comfortable with.
Teacher will encourage discussion by posting questions and interesting facts about the paintings, artists and process of drawing.

Posted weekly videos have approximate length of 30min and sometimes a little bit longer. 
Students should spend at least one hour working on their homework per week. 

Week 1- Drawing Eyes
Week 2- Drawing Lips and Nose;
Week 3- Drawing Hair
Week 4-Drawing Face Shapes and Learning the Basics of Face Proportions;
Week 5-Creating Shadows and Highlights;
Week 6-Introduction to Colors and Mix Media- adding flavor to pencil drawings.
