Students will be able to find the volume of a pyramid using a formula.
Class experience
We will start class by analyzing the definition of volume and the definition of Pyramids. Students will then be presented with the formula used to find the volume of pyramids. We will discuss what each part of the formula represents and how to find it on a pyramid. We will then use a table to organize our data. I will solve a problem while explaining each step. This is a lesson that I have taught both in a public school with a class of 30 students and in private tutoring setting, and I have always been able to identify the misconceptions regarding this lesson. This helps me adjust the lesson to individual needs.
Please have students come to class prepared with a notebook, a pencil and at least two colored pens.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
