### **Class Description: Fearless Factoring** 🎓✏️ In "Fearless Factoring," students will master essential algebraic factoring techniques through 8 engaging YouTube videos. 📹 Each video covers topics like factoring trinomials and solving equations by factoring. Students will receive additional practice problems and an answer key for every lesson, ensuring they can confidently tackle factoring in algebra. Perfect for middle and high school students looking to strengthen their math skills! 🔢💪 ### **Class Experience** 💻 **What will be taught?** Students will learn: - Factoring trinomials a = 1 and a > 1 🧮 - Using the GCF to factor 📐 - Factoring polynomials completely ➗ - Solving equations by factoring 📝 - Finding the roots of factored polynomials 🌱 - Special factoring cases (difference of squares) 🔍 **Class Structure:** This course is delivered through **8 YouTube videos**, each ranging from 7 to 21 minutes. 📺 Each video breaks down key concepts step-by-step, followed by practice problems 📝 and an answer key for self-checking. Students can learn at their own pace while reinforcing their skills with targeted exercises. 💡 **Teaching Style:** I’ll provide clear, easy-to-follow explanations with lots of examples, making even the trickiest factoring problems easier to understand. 😎 Each lesson builds on the previous one, guiding students from basic to more advanced factoring techniques. With additional practice problems, students can strengthen their understanding outside of the videos. 🧠💪 **Interaction:** Though the videos are pre-recorded, students will get hands-on practice with worksheets 📝 and can review their progress using answer keys 🔑. Optional Q&A support or additional guidance can be provided for students needing more help. 👩🏫 This flexible, engaging class helps students gain confidence in factoring while offering the independence to learn at their own pace! 🚀
Learning Goals
Master Factoring Trinomials: Students will learn how to factor trinomials where
a=1 and a>1, gaining confidence in handling quadratic expressions.
Understand and Apply the Greatest Common Factor (GCF): Students will be able to identify and factor out the GCF in polynomial expressions, simplifying complex problems.
