Beginner Level
In this one time class, students will take a deep dive into the rainforest habitat and learn about the different plants and animals that live there. Our class will include an interactive Nearpod lesson, vocabulary, songs, and a short story. Each learner will also receive additional handouts and activities to extend their learning at home. Sample Schedule: 5 minutes: Welcome and Intro of Lesson 15 minutes- Mini Lesson 5 minutes- Review/Closing Students will learn: -Ecosystem Understanding: Students will learn about the unique characteristics of rainforest ecosystems. -Animal and Plant Identification: Students will explore the different layers of the rainforest and learn about different animals and plants.

Hi everyone! Welcome to class! I am Miss Kate. I have 15+ years of teaching experience with students ages 2-14 years old. I am passionate about early childhood education and building the foundation for life long learning. My classes will be engaging and focus on a variety of topics including early literacy, early math and life skills. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband and 3 (yes, three) big dogs!
I believe in engaging and playful learning and will teach my classes in a fun and interactive way including songs, digital & interactive games, and lots of interaction and opportunities for engagement.
I am certified to teach K-8 Elementary, K-12 Special Education and Early Childhood Education. In addition, I have a certificate in Child Psychology from Penn Foster, a certificate in Autism Studies from Arizona State University and a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Arizona State University. I love to teach and look forward to meeting your child!
