Class Experience

“Exploring Math Word Problems- Part 2” with Teacher Mohanyie is a multi-day class that will create an interactive math experience where your child will be able to review the strategies that they learned to solve math word problems. We will be using the "I Do, We Do, You Do" model to build deeper comprehension of our problems. Students will be able to communicate with me and other students as we progress through the word problems. If you are interested in this class, please be sure that your child has already taken part 1 of my course.

Supply List

Part 1 of my course is needed to learn the basic strategies that we will apply. Students will need paper and pencil to solve out the math problems.

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! My name is Mohanyie, but you can call me Mrs. Mo. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from UCF and I am endorsed and certified in English Language Learners, Reading Education, and Gifted Education by the FLDOE. 

I taught in Florida public schools for the first 13+ years of my career. I started my virtual teaching adventure in 2019 as an ESL Teacher and I started with Outschool in May 2020. While teaching in public schools, I was able to build test scores without stressing students by making lessons fun and engaging. I was fortunate to teach all elementary grade levels, Kindergarten through fifth grade during my career; so I know where students should be and where they need to be for the next year. 

My passion is teaching students that they can build their skills while having fun. I love to make lessons interactive and meaningful to the student. My favorite part in teaching is building lasting relationships with students and families, some that I still keep in touch with 13+ years later. 

On a personal level, I got married in 2018 and we welcomed our son in July 2021. We love spending time cooking, watching movies, and building memories with our large extended family.
