This class is taught in English.

Students will use a strategies involving tricks and patterns to show patterns in numbers. First part of class, students follow the instructor using a multiplication worksheet, discuss the strategy and how to use it in school.

Students will exercise while skip counting to strengthen multiplication fluency. During the second part of class, students will need gym shoes, water, proper space and adult supervision because we will be exercising and moving. Be ready to jog in place, do jumping jacks or even squats.  

Students will build confidence by watching a video reviewing the strategy & completing a workout. This is the final piece of skill building... practice. After completing class, I will message students a video and a practice sheet. They can complete it on their own time but watching it is encouraged. Practice makes improvement and reminding them of what they learned while showing their adults what they learned are a win, win.

Learning Goal: Build Multiplication Fluency

I am a certified elementary school teacher with 14 years of experience. I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Educational Psychology. My favorite subjects are math and physical education. I took my two favorite subjects, combined them and created MathFit. MathFit is a perfect blend between math class and gym class. MathFit is in school, after school, online and now on Outschool. We are so excited to meet and teach new learners. 

Homework Offered
Homework is not required but a video and practice sheet will be emailed after completing class. This provides kids and parents with guidance of the strategy learned so they can continue to practice... practice makes improvement.  Happy practicing ;)
