There will not be homework. If students want to practice multiplication after classes they will be given resources that they can practice on.

SUMMARY OF THE CLASS
In this class, students will have a chance to learn different strategies that will put them well on the way to memorizing their multiplication tables. 

They will learn about patterns, skip counting, repeated addition, multiplication manipulatives, and more. 

We will be working with multiplication tables 1-12 over the course of 6 sessions. 

This will be a fun class that will have students playing some games and working together to solve multiplication problems.

ABOUT ME AND MY STYLE 

I have been teaching essay writing for over ten years and I love to expand students writing by asking them questions about their writing to get them to expand their ideas. I also believe that students need to have a structure to write from to really master the art of essay writing. 

I also have lots of experience with students with a number of different abilities and neurodiverse students. I have experience with blind students, autistic students, students with ADHD, etc. If your student needs any accommodations to make this class more accessible for them please feel free to reach out and I will make these accommodations to the best of my ability.

Learning Goals

Students will learn different methods for solving multiplication as well as learning methods for memorizing their times tables.

Supply List

Students will be given 10 multiplication drill pages that will be used over the course of the 10 days. I will post the links in class and send them to the parents to be printed out before the beginning of the multiday class. Students will also need paper, pencils, and scissors to make math manipulatives over the 10 days. All online resources I will be providing links to the students during class time and will also post them in the classroom after class if students want to use them to practice more.

We will be using boom cards in class. We also will be making use of online manipulatives. Students will not need accounts on any website to be able to participate in the activities. They will be given links that will open directly up.
