Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
This class will focus on fundamental concepts of multiplication. We will not only go over multiplication facts; we will also talk about how multiplication works and why it works. Students will improve their multiplication fact fluency while also developing a deeper understanding of what multiplication is.

Students will learn and practice a different multiplication table every week. During each session, we will practice skip counting and work on some different strategies for solving multiplication questions. Some of the strategies we will talk about are pictures with groupings, tape diagrams, and number bonds. If there is enough time, we will finish by playing a game to help students practice the multiplication facts that they have learned. We will follow this format every week for the new set of multiplication facts we are learning.

Week 1: We will practice multiplication by 2s. We will follow the format described above for multiplication with 2s.

Week 2: We will practice multiplication by 3s. We will follow the format described above for multiplication with 3s.

Hello! So glad you are here! I am excited to be teaching on Outschool. I have taught elementary school for four years, with 1.5 of those years being online. I am currently teaching 6th grade science. I love teaching multiplication, division, fractions, phonics, science, and more! I love connecting with my students and helping them learn. It is very rewarding to see my students progress and grow. I believe that every child has potential, and I love helping them realize their potential.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from BYU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in TESOL K-12 (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages). I also finished my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Western Governor’s University.

I love running, waterskiing, and my dog, Daisy! I also love music and play the piano and the violin.
