35 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one-time class, students will be introduced to the famous artist Edvard Munch. Following a brief summary of his life, we will examine some of his most famous pieces of art. Using the painting, "The Scream" for inspiration, students will use color to show strong emotion in their own work of art. The class is primarily lecture format but I will ask learners to collectively repeat important information (such as the artist's name) to help with memory. I will also ask the class open-ended questions about the art we look at, with answers being given on a volunteer basis. Most of the class will be guided art time, as we work together to complete a masterpiece. During that time, I will periodically check-in with each student to monitor their progress and give feedback.
