US Grade 2 - 5
In this one week creative writing class, the format will be "mad lib style." I will create most of the writing and the student fills in what they would like to make the story their own awesome story. I will go into detail about parts of speech and how they are used in creating a story. I will post four lesson videos that will set up your student for a creative writing lesson. Your student can follow along with me as I do the lesson if they like or they can do the worksheet after and share their work if they would like. I will post a fun two "fill in the blank" assignments as well for this course. Each lesson will have a topic we will follow to write the story.
Learning Goals
Students will get practice in writing while using the correct parts of speech. Students will also get practice writing and understanding how to write in complete sentences on the same topic.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I have a passion to help little ones learn and have fun doing so! I have a bachelors degree in Exercise Science, am in the final stages of completing a Masters in Elementary Education, and have been in the classroom since 2018! I have privately tutored elementary, middle, and college students over the years. My favorite type of out school classes to teach are small group math courses, private tutoring sessions, and creative writing courses. I enjoy teaching students new ways to learn reading comprehension and math skills! My goal is to provide students with the skills they need to be academically successful. I like to include my students in the lessons I teach and make it as fun as possible.
