Do you think your guinea pigs need a visit from Santa this year? Well you're in the right place this holiday season because when you attend this class, you will learn how to use a regular food box and transform it into a yummy Santa Portrait that will make your guinea pigs go "wheek wheek!" Guinea pigs are very curious, social and some of them can be very playful too! They can get bored if they have the same routine every day, so this holiday season, why not give them a Santa Portrait that they can chew! With this class, you will learn how you can use common household ingredients to make your very own "portrait" of Santa and let your guinea pigs gobble it right up! Edible art is so much fun because we get to PLAY with our food! The materials we will be using in this class should be easy to find items that you may already have at home such as: *Any Food Box (cereal, crackers or pasta boxes work great!) *Scissors *Common Veggies *Flour *Water ***Please Note: Guinea Pigs should not eat flour. We are not feeding flour to guinea pigs, we are using it as a safe glue for our projects. I always make sure to caution the students to only use it as a thin layer of "paint" for our projects and that it is not safe to feed their guinea pigs the "glue" that we make.*** ~ You will find the complete supplies list below Your kids will love making these "Santa Portraits" just in time for any holiday celebration you are having this year! I enjoy having a fun, encouraging and open class where the students will get to laugh, share, ask questions and socialize. No experience necessary, most kids will be able to complete the tasks on their own, parents may need to help prepare the veggies in advance if your learner does not use cutting utensils. This class will be MESSY, so please give your child a space where they can make a mess and have fun. I can't wait to see the portraits you make!

Teacher expertise and credentials
With the help of my "Power Puff Piggies" I will be offering classes on "Proper Guinea Pig Care". We have a lot of fun and the class is very interactive. Your kiddos will get to "help" me with my guinea pigs directly to demonstrate proper feeding, handling and home maintenance, with a flair of responsibility and how that relates in all areas of life.
I will also be offering a multitude of guinea pig themed classes that are more geared towards building and being creative, such as my "Let's Build Guinea Pig Structures!" classes. They have been very popular and the kids have an absolute blast! In these classes students will be having fun and learning facts about guinea pigs as they are creating toys, sculptures and pieces of art.
I have been a certified Life Mentor since 1997, mentoring adults and children. As a mentor, I have helped hundreds of individuals learn to overcome stress, increase self-confidence and be more productive in their lives.
In my classrooms I value fun, friendship, respect and partnership. With these values in mind, I develop curriculum that is fun and interactive. Each learner gets a chance to express themselves in their own way so they can learn in a safe, judge-free zone.
Fun fact about me? I love having celebrations! I have monthly gatherings at my home for games, singing and dancing. I have even hosted a karaoke party for 5 year olds!
I also have recorded an intro video for you, I have included the link to watch it on You Tube. So if you like, you can copy and paste into your browser: https://youtu.be/MD4m0xXGdfQ
