Learning through play? You bet! Playing, learning, creating! This class is for those children who are just learning their numbers. The children will use dough to create their numbers and show the number on 10 frames. We will create our numbers using hands on activities. We will use dominoes and dice to show the number through number sense. The children will also explore tally marks, place value, time, and money as we learn about number sense. We will play Search and Cover games to help us identify our numbers. We will sing fun children's songs and learn short poems that will help us learn how to count and write our numbers 0-20. The students will interact with the teacher and each other through games, class discussions, answering questions, and through making their numbers during class activities. This is an ongoing preschool class. The classes are stand alone independent classes. Each week we study one number. The next week we study a brand new number. Your child is welcome to join or drop this class as needed. All Ongoing classes have a standard refund policy: "Cancel subscription at any point, no refund for past subscriptions. Payments can be refunded within 24 hours of purchase." I ask that screens are kept on throughout the lesson. The children's reactions allow me to adjust my teaching to meet their needs. This class is set up to support all learners. I teach to many different learning styles and provide activities for all children. My classes are interactive and student interaction of some kind is expected. It could be a smile to agree, or a thumbs up, or an oral "yes." I will take whatever your child is comfortable with. I provide opportunities for your child to succeed. OPTIONAL: I offer out-of-class activities to students who wish to extend their learning and further explore the content studied. Families who choose to participate in the out-of-class activities will receive individualized personal attention from me in response to their students project. Share a photo or video of you and your out-of-class activity and I will respond to you. These out-of-class activities offer additional quality, extra value, and will engage your learner beyond the classroom setting. I want to reach out and increase your child's learning experience. These activities may be additional reading, videos, games, and fun activities that will extend and enhance your child's learning experience in my class. For my 3 and 4 your old's, I recommend parents sit next to their children just off camera to help make sure they have the right page, stay on task, and to keep them seated and quiet. I love a child's response. We just need to keep talking to a minimum.
