This is a class that meets once a week to work on critical thinking, math puzzles riddles & math games in a fun, engaging way. Join us as we dive into riddles, brain teasers and critical thinking games that utilize math, common sense, and problem solving skills. Students will get an at home puzzles, games and riddles! Class Time: 10 minutes - Riddles 10 minutes - Critical Thinking Math Puzzle 10 minutes - Critical Thinking Word Puzzle 10 minutes - Brain Teasers or Games & Problems To Solve 5 minutes - Sharing Games will be changed and adapted depending on the learners' skill level. ***Students must have a video on at all times and access to turn the microphone on during class participation. All students are expected to participate. *All absences can watch the recording. PARENTS BEFORE CLASS: You'll need to turn on some notifications to receive communication from the teacher, weekly worksheets or changes in our class schedule. I am a certified teacher with 15+ years of teaching in the public, private, homeschool, university, online or private tutoring sector. I have been Charlotte Mason trained through Ambleside. I have a dynamic teaching style and animated approach to teaching and learning. I've taken morning meeting and writers notebook workshops and have years of classroom experience implementing this in my classroom and tutoring sessions. I've created multiple writing lessons which utilize a variety of techniques to help students become lifelong writers.
I'm trained to teach Saxon math in grades 1-4 and utilize a variety of methods in order to be successful. I am a mental health workshop facilitator which provides resiliency skills to kids through games, role playing, crafts and socratic group discussions.
