Drop-In Weekly Art Class: Learn to Draw Animals Age 7-12

Together, we will draw a new animal each week by using basic shapes, lines and step-by-step instruction.

This ongoing class meets each week, without a set end date.  
You may end your subscription and rejoin at any time!
No prior class or knowledge is necessary to drop-in.

Class begins with CLUES about the mystery animal we are about to draw.
Students will be presented with photos of the animal, child-friendly animal-centered jokes and fun facts.
I use two cameras (one overhead and one forward facing) to provide a live directed drawing.
Students will use and identify colors and shapes. 
Students will be encouraged to add creative elements to their background.
Students will be gently encouraged to show their final drawing to one another, however sharing is never required. 
Students will be encouraged to upload photos of their artwork each week to the classroom page, however, this is not required.
We will have an ART-tastic time discussing the qualities of each other's artwork, finding the differences and beauty in unique details.
Students will be encouraged to practice their animal drawing skills and will have time, at the start of each class, to show their progress.

I encourage group conversation by asking questions to each student, however, am understanding of students who prefer to draw quietly.  I strive to make sure each student feels included, comfortable and happy during my classes.

***PLEASE NOTE***
Classes will continue, each week, with the exception of August 16-26 and Sept 23-29.  (During those dates, students may remain enrolled without being charged!)

*SCHEDULE CHANGES?* If your schedule changes: I am happy to transfer students into a different time if given 24-hour notice.

*ABSENT?*  Please request a recording of missed classes.  Typically, I am happy to send recordings and offer help/feedback to verified learners.  However, access to class recordings is not guaranteed.  All classes begin on time, as long as one learner is in the classroom.  In the event that no students are in the classroom at the assigned class time, I will exit after 10 minutes.  In addition, there are rare events where recordings must remain private to ensure learner safety.  Outschool's policy states that recordings are shared per teacher discretion.    No refunds will be given for missed classes
