Drawing Dragons: Art Inspired by Wings of Fire (Beginners)
In this ongoing art course, we show how to draw basic shapes and turn them into incredible Wings of Fire dragons! This is an ongoing session where we build friendships, move through different art techniques as a group and inspire each other to create something magical.
Class experience
Dragons can seem like complicated things to draw, but it's easier than you think! We begin with basic, easily understood shapes, then walk through which elements to add, piece-by-piece, to make the shapes more recognizable as our dragons. We then show how to add details and smooth edges around our more basic shapes to make our final dragon drawing. Students will want to have some basic experience with pencil drawing, as well as a good attitude and a love of the dragons of Wings of Fire. We...
A good drawing pencil, paper, eraser and a big imagination! We focus on using lines, angles and shapes to create our dragon during class. We move at a pace to fully complete our dragon. Learners are welcome to “perfect” the details of the dragons after class. If your learner enjoys water colors or acrylic paints, I would suggest using a weighted paper (60lbs min).
