Class Experience

In this class, students will be given a prompt by the teacher and quickly draw a picture in response. The students will share their picture and discuss why they drew that item. The drawings do not have be to detailed, but rather quickly drawn and used as conversation starters. This class is very interactive will all students participating and sharing in the conversation.

An example of a prompt might be "draw something blue that starts with the letter s". The students will be given 1 minute to draw their item and then share with the class. The items could be realistic such as "the sky" or something imaginative they create. There are no wrong answers!

There is no previous knowledge or skills required. Please bring several sheets of paper (cut in quarters) and markers to class. This is a sampler of my ongoing Thinking Games class. It is also a fun stand alone class as well!

Hello to Everyone! My name is Miss Meghan and I can’t wait to meet your child. I enjoy teaching a variety of classes for preschool and early elementary ages.

I hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. At the beginning of my career, I worked extensively with children with autism in home settings designing programs to help students access the world around them in an empowering way. After my oldest daughter was born, I became a licensed childcare provider creating a home away from home for many children to grow and learn. When my youngest daughter was born, I decided it was time to explore other options and that is how I landed at Outschool. I am so grateful for this opportunity and love meeting new learners from all over the world.

I have a passion for instilling a love of learning in young children through exposure, messy play, and fun! I strongly believe that letting children delve into learning at their own level and allowing for different types of learning styles sets children up for a life long learning journey.

In addition to teaching on Outschool, I also homeschool my two daughters who are my pride and joy. I feel so grateful to have a career that I love that also affords me the opportunity to spend time with my own children as well. In my free time, I enjoy art, brainstorming new lesson ideas, cross stitch, and reading!

I offer science, art, language arts, social studies, math, and social classes for preschool and kindergarten age groups, as well as social groups for neurodivergent! Please feel free to message me with any questions!
